First steps with analog

written by Jonas Hermann

These are the first steps with an analog camera I ever made. I was drawn to the nicely manufactured, stainless steel body. Shooting analog is simply a different feeling –  you feel the mechanic click when releasing the shutter and you hear this distinct click that tells you a moment has just been captured in time. Not as zeros and ones but on a piece of paper that you will eventually be able to feel and touch. Analog is natural photography. If you care about photography, using a analog camera will give you a new perspective of the things around you. I can highly recommend!

I was shooting with a Minolta XD7, the standard 50mm and a color Kodak film.
